St Luke's Sandfly Tasmania

After the 1967 bushfires local Methodist and Anglican communities pooled their resources to erect a place of worship at Sandfly.  The local Roman Catholic community provided the fit out of the building.

The consecration of the new church was held on 20th August 1969 in the presence of dignatories from the Methodist Church, the Roman Catholic Church and the Anglican Church.  Bishop Robert Davies officiated at the consecration of the building.

We have in every instance made a good faith effort to contact and request 'reprint' permission. Nonetheless, we do want to be certain that nothing gets lost due to web site disappearance and the like, so it appears duplicated here.
